Matt Metz
President
Board Term Expires: 4/2022

Matt Metz brings 23 years of Fortune 100 consulting and process improvement experience to the Board. Before coming to Scottsdale Ranch, he served on the Board of his prior HOA for 11 years – 10 of those as president. At Scottsdale Ranch, Matt has served on the Board for six years, four of those as President. He also serves as Board Member and Treasurer for Scottsdale Council of Homeowners Associations, and has made presentations to SCOHA and the West Valley Homeowners Association on writing effective landscaping contracts and effective HOA funding. For fun, Matt enjoys volunteer activities, travel, computers, and designing websites.

Greg Mona
Vice President
Board Term Expires: 4/2023

Greg Mona’s corporate career spanned 30 years in the Civil Engineering field, culminating with his role as the Managing Principal for an international Engineering, Architecture and Land Planning firm with a staff of 30+. Greg, a real estate broker, currently owns a real estate business with his wife, Jeannine. He has extensive experience serving on numerous boards and committees, both public and corporate. Greg and Jeannine have lived in Scottsdale Ranch for almost 17 years. They have two adult sons and a granddaughter. Greg enjoys many hobbies, including golf, fishing, boating, hiking, mountain biking, fitness, travel, and fine dining.

Mike Breslin
Treasurer
Board Term Expires: 4/2023

Mike Breslin knows how to deal effectively with employees, management, and clients as well as national and local government officials. In Chicago, Illinois, he was the Vice Chairman of Human Resources and Law Worldwide at Leo Burnett Co. Inc. and a board member of the Executives Club of Chicago. Mike served as Board President of the Las Brisas HOA for many years and most recently served as Board President of SRCA.  After a year off, Mike was recently re-elected to the SRCA board and is currently serving as the Treasurer.

Nina Munson
Secretary
Board Term Expires: 4/2022

Nina Munson’s 40 year professional career included counseling, mediation, leadership, operations management, and educational administration. She earned her Masters degree from University of Denver and Bachelors degree from SUNY Brockport.  She has served on numerous non-profit boards as a member as well as Board President, Vice President and Secretary.  Nina and her husband, Brian, moved to Scottsdale Ranch in 1986 where they raised their two sons.  Life’s enjoyments include travel, flipping homes, gardening and spending time at their Pinetop home.

Michele Holzman
Director
Board Term Expires: 4/2022

Michele Holzman has been an active member of the SRCA Architectural Committee since moving to Scottsdale Ranch 6 years ago. Prior to moving here, she served for 5 years on the Arrowhead HOA Architectural Committee. She recently retired from her position as Executive Vice President with a national health care company, responsible for 15 offices east of the Mississippi. She and her husband, Stuart, moved to Arizona 11 years ago with 35 other family members! They had recently closed their Art and Framing business in Wisconsin.

Larry Schmalz

Larry Schmalz’s professional career in real estate and government spans 40 years, including the last 24 years with the City of Tempe. Before moving to Scottsdale Ranch, he served on the Board of a prior HOA. He has served on the SRCA Lake Committee for the past 15 years. Larry and his wife, Debbie, have lived in Scottsdale Ranch for the past 24 years where they have raised their daughter, Katie. Larry enjoys several outdoor activities including fishing, history and travel.

Jeff Spiller
Director
Board Term Expires: 4/2023

Jeff Spiller brings over 30 years of  experience in the residential & commercial and development industries. Jeff continues his career growth as the current Vice President of development with a leading developer of medical office buildings across the nation. Prior to currently serving on the board for Scottsdale Ranch he was an active community member and president of Scottsdale’s Trails North HOA which experienced a 35% increase in property values due to his leadership and initiatives. Jeff and his family moved to Scottsdale Ranch in 2020 because of it’s beauty and community activities and looks forward to participating in future community events.
