Peter Frick, President

Peter C. Frick's Biography

Peter C. Frick is a resident of Mountain View Place. He has his Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration; he carries a registration as a Radiologic Technologist and was a past president of Scottsdale Memorial Hospitals from 1988-1993. His past civic duties include the Rotary International as well as a retired member of the International exchange students program. He currently works as a consultant in International Healthcare with the emphasis in Europe and the Middle East. He was a past Board member of the La Mariposa HOA and McCormick Ranch Treasurer from 1998-2001. He has served on the SRCA Board since May of 2005. He believes that his education and experience as a manager of reasonably large organization could be put to good uses as the Board sets the policies and works with the administration team that manages SCRA.

Vincent Cherry, Vice President

Vincent Cherry's Biography

Vincent Cherry and his wife Marcia have been residents of Casa del Cielo for three years. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Union College and Law Review from Stanford Law School. He was a former partner in major Boston law firm. Attended Foreign Service Institute and served in Diplomatic Corps. He was a member of a home association board in California and president for three years. Since retiring he has written a novel and hopes to soon have it published. He is committed to serving all the members of the community.

Robert Jackson, Treasurer

Robert Jackson's Biography

Robert Jackson is a resident of Mountain View Place. Born in Iowa, Bob moved to Arizona in 1964 to attend Arizona State University. After graduating with a degree in Finance, the next 35+ years were spent in the banking and finance industry. In 1996, he started his own firm, Jackson Financial Advisors, which specializes in working with individual investors and business owners to help them achieve their financial goals. Member of Scottsdale Rotary Club, Scottsdale Healthcare, Salvation Army Counselor, past treasurer Scottsdale Symphony, past treasurer of Tempe Y.M.C.A and past chairman of the Greater Casa Grande Economic Development Committee. Bob is in his second term on the SRCA Board of Directors and has been actively involved in the Finance Committee for several years. His objectives in becoming a board member are: helping to achieve the objectives of the SRCA Mission Statement. As well as working towards preserving protecting and increasing property values by helping to facilitate those ideas that create a unique and attractive community.

Nina Munson, Secretary

Nina Munson's Biography

Nina has been an active member of the Scottsdale Ranch Social Committee for years. As a resident of Scottsdale Ranch since 1986, originally from Rochester, New York, she completed her Bachelor’s degree from SUNY Brockport and her Master’s degree from the University of Denver. Her career includes positions as a Counseling Psychologist and 28 years with University of Phoenix to include VP roles for Colorado Campuses, University Services, Latin America Operations, and currently for the National Research Center. Her and her husband Brian have two boys; Daniel, 20, and Adam, 16. She has been involved in many professional and civic organizations in both Chair and member roles. Her hobbies include gardening, interior decorating, reading, and enjoying both the mountains and the ocean.

Brian Juedes, Director

Brian Juede's Biography

Brian Juedes is currently a resident of Tierra Vista and has lived in Scottsdale Ranch for 7 years. Brian received a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Wisconsin. Brian is a Professional Engineer, Structural Engineer and Registered Architect. He currently serves as the Senior Vice President for the Felten Group, an engineering and architectural design firm that specializes in residential construction. He has been an active member of the SRCA Architectural Committee. One of his objectives in becoming a Board Member is: to support the SRCA Mission Statement.

George Lores, Director

George Lores' Biography

George Lores is a retired State Farm Insurance agent from Chicago, IL and is a full-time resident of Mountain View Place since March 1998. George’s primary interest is in preserving the beauty and property values on the Ranch, while maintaining cost controls. He feels he can apply his vast work experience at the civic level and definitely make a contribution to enhancing the beauty and scope of what Scottsdale Ranch has come to represent. He is presently a registered mediator for Maricopa County. Past accomplishments are: Member of National Assoc. of Life Underwriters (NALU)—30 years; Mission Hills M-5 Condo Association—Vice President and President, Northbrook, IL; Association of Retired State Farm Agents; and Upper Michigan Ave. Merchants Association of Chicago; Past SRCA Board Director.

Howard Stone, Director

Ancillary Committee Chair

Howard Stone's Biography

Howard moved into Scottsdale Ranch in August of 2001 after recently retiring. He was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota and spent his working career in West Bloomfield, Michigan. He has been married to Hermi for 37 years and they have 2 sons, Adam and Harlan.

He brings over 35 years of managerial experience to the Ranch. He has been a partner and functioned as C.O.O. of an industrial packaging distributor for over 25 years.

He served on  his homeowners association inWest Bloomfield, Michigan for over 3 years and also served as Vice-President and then President of an international packaging association for 4 years.

Responsibilities of SRCA Board of Directors POWERS:

It shall be the power of the Board of Directors to:

  1. Adopt and publish rules & regulations governing the use of the Common Area, the personal conduct of the Members and their guests and any other matters contemplated by the Declaration or Articles and to establish penalties for the infraction.
  2. Suspend the voting rights and right to use of the recreational facilities and other Common Areas of a Member during any period in which such Member shall be in default in the payment of any assessment levied by the Association. Such rights may also be suspended for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days for infraction of the Declaration, a Tract Declaration or the Scottsdale Ranch Rules and for successive 60 day periods if any such infraction is not corrected during any prior 60 day suspension period.
  3. Exercise for the Association all powers, duties and authority vested in or delegated to this Association and not reserved to the membership by other provisions of these Bylaws, the Articles or the Declaration.
  4. Declare the office of a member of the Board of Directors to be vacant in the event such member shall be absent from three (3) consecutive regular meetings of the Board of Directors.
  5. Employ a manager, independent contractors, or such other employees as they deem necessary and to prescribe the duties of such persons.

Duties

It shall be the duty of the Board of Directors to:

  1. Cause to be kept a complete record of all of its acts and corporate affairs and to present a statement to the Members at the annual meeting of the Members or at any special meeting when such statement is requested in writing by one/fourth (1/4) of the Class A Members who are entitled to vote.
  2. Supervise all officers, agents and employees of this Association, and to see that their duties are properly performed.
  3. As more fully provided in the Declaration to:
    • Fix the amount of the annual assessment against each Lot, Parcel or Lessee at least thirty (30) days in advance of each annual assessment period.
    • Take such action, as and when the Board deems such action appropriate but after notice as provided in the Declaration, to foreclose the lien against any property for which assessments are not paid and/or to bring an action of law against the Member personally obligated to pay the same.
  4. Issue, or to cause an appropriate officer to issue, upon demand by any person, a certificate setting forth whether or not any assessment has been paid, such certificates shall be conclusive evidence of such payment, as against any bona fide purchaser of, or lender on, the Lot, Parcel or Rental Apartment in question.
  5. Procure and maintain adequate liability and hazard insurance on property owned by the Association.
  6. Cause all officers or employees having fiscal responsibilities to be bonded, as it may deem appropriate.
  7. Cause the maintenance responsibilities of the Association set forth in the Declaration to be performed.

Action Taken Without a Meeting

The Directors shall have the right to take any action in the absence of a meeting which they could take at a meeting by obtaining the written approval of all the Directors. Any action so approved shall have the same effect as though taken at a meeting of the Directors.

Unanimous approval by the Board of Directors must be documented on a written resolution of the Board of Directors and filed with the minutes of the Association.

Meetings are scheduled on the fourth Tuesday of each month and held at the Scottsdale Ranch Community Association Administrative Office at 10585 N. 100th Street at 4:30 p.m.
