Scottsdale Ranch is a master-planned residential community located in Scottsdale, Arizona and was first developed in 1984 by Markland Properties, Inc. and Costain Arizona, Inc. Scottsdale Ranch has since become Scottsdale’s premier and progressive community offering a variety of upscale living options in a resort-like setting. APS and Shea Rd. Tree Removal
As part of APS’s ongoing efforts to ensure reliable electric services to their customers, APS is installing new conductors (wires) on the south side of Shea Blvd between 90th St. and the existing utility corridor at approximately 116th St.
SRCA has been diligently working with APS to salvage as much of this mature vegetation; however, federal mandate does not allow any vegetation under the lines to be higher than 8ft. tall as well as an 11ft. minimum clearance from tree tops to wire bottoms.
While we do not like to see any trees removed, SRCA’s hands are tied due to the right-of-way easement agreement and federal laws.
